Suitable For

  • Adults

Description

A compress combining olive oil and cayenne pepper powder applied to the soles of the feet to stimulate circulation and warmth in cold or numb extremities.

Benefits

  • Cayenne pepper (capsaicin) stimulates blood flow, strengthens circulation and helps warm cold feet.
  • Olive oil provides a carrier, preventing irritation while holding the pepper on the skin.
  • Useful for people with peripheral neuropathy, underactive thyroid or poor circulation; may also be applied to the throat for hypothyroidism.

Preparation & Use

Place plastic wrap on a surface and lay a double layer of absorbent paper on top. Drizzle a small amount of olive oil over the paper and spread it. Sprinkle about half a teaspoon of cayenne pepper per foot onto the oiled paper. Place the foot directly onto the mixture, fold the plastic over and put on a snug sock to hold it in place. Leave overnight. Repeat nightly until circulation improves.
